Turn off the device at the power switch. Please check if the light barrier in the insert shaft has dust on it. You can clean this using a soft cloth, a dry brush or with compressed air. If possible, also clean the light barrier of the CD slot (optional) with compressed air. If the error cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
First check if the message "System not ready" on the display has disappeared. The message should disappear about 10 seconds after the device has been turned on. If the message remains in the display and no other error messages are shown, please contact our customer service.
First check if the message "Light barrier soiled" on the display has disappeared. Turn off the device at the power switch. If the message "Light barrier soiled" lights up again on the display, check if the light barrier in the insert shaft is blocked by dust. You can clean this using a soft cloth, a dry brush or with compressed air. Please also clean the light barrier of the CD slot (optional). If the error cannot be rectified, please contact our customer service.
This error indicates that the cutting unit stops immediately when paper or a CD is fed in, because there is already material in the feed slot. Please check if the light barriers are already blocked by material. If this does not rectify the error or if it is not possible to clean the light barrier, please contact our customer service.
Turn off the device at the power switch. Please check if the light barrier in the paper feed is soiled, damaged or broken. You can clean this using a soft cloth, a dry brush or with compressed air. If the error cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
If the safety element has not fully snapped in after refilling the automatic oiler, this message will appear. Please snap the safety element back in. If the error cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
This message is displayed if pressure is exerted on to the safety element during the shredding process. Please snap the safety element back in. If the error cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
Please check that the power supply is correctly connected and that the power switch in on "I". If the device still does not turn on, please contact our customer service.
The device was overloaded. Please let the shredder cool down for about 20 minutes. If the error message remains in the display even after the shredder is cooled down, please contact our customer service.
First check if the feed slot above the cutting unit is blocked. Turn the cutting unit backwards by pressing the reverse bar in the display, and the paper will be conveyed to the top. Remove the paper to rectify the error. If this does not clear the error, or if the cutting shafts do not turn in any direction, please contact our customer service.
First check if the door of the base cabinet is securely closed, otherwise the contact will not switch. Next, you need to check if the gap size of the door and the top of the enclosure is even throughout. If the error cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
If a paper jam occurred, the cutting unit will reverse for a few seconds and push out the paper. If necessary, the paper can be reversed by pressing on the "R" bar in the display. If this does not clear the paper jam, soften the jam with a generous amount of special oil for cutting blocks for about 60 minutes. Thereafter, you can push the paper down using a soft cardboard. Please make sure that your device is switched on when pushing the paper through, the motor will support in clearing the blockage. If this approach does not clear the paper jam, please contact our customer service.
If the device is in permanent mode (press the display for more than 3 seconds), the device will only switch off when the display is pressed on again. Turn off the device at the power switch. Please check if the light barrier in the insert shaft is blocked by dust. This can be cleaned with a soft cloth, a dry brush or with compressed air. When doing so, also check the light barrier of the CD slot (optional). If the error cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
Please empty the collection container. If this message is displayed after the empty collection container has been inserted again, the "Sack Full" flap underneath the cutting unit may be stuck. In the starting position this points downwards. If the error persists, please contact our customer service.
The device has not been used for 2 minutes. The device is in automatic stand-by mode. As soon as you feed paper in, the device will automatically start. Should this message persist, please contact our customer service.
Keypad lock is enabled. To disable this please follow the steps described in the Instruction Manual. If the fault cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
The device skipped a file when the software was started. Please turn the device off and on again. If the fault cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
Lubricate the cutting unit (in case of particle cutting). If the error cannot be rectified by this please contact our customer service.
The system works by weight. Not the filling level, but rather the weight in the container is the decisive factor. Please check the ease of movement of the container receptacle and empty the collection container of the CD cutting unit (optional). To do this, remove it from the bracket in an upward movement. Should the error persist, please contact our customer service.
Please fill the oiler (optional) with HSM special cutting block oil. The filling capacity is 250 ml. The oiler is located below the safety element (red screw top or yellow plug, only for particle cutting). If thereafter, the message is still displaying, please contact our customer service.
Please note: The shredder can be used without oil for a short period of time. However, the oil should be refilled soon, in order to prevent any damage to the cutting unit.
The metal detector has detected metal pieces in the feed slot to the cutting unit. Please press the "R" bar at the top of the screen to remove the paper from the feed slot. Remove the metal before feeding in paper again. Acknowledge the fault in the display. It is possible that the device stops before the metal has reached the feed slot. If the fault cannot be rectified by this, please contact our customer service.
In case of decreased cutting performance, the development of noises, or after emptying the paper container, you should lubricate the cutting unit (for particle cutting). Spray the special oil across the entire width of the feed slot on to the cutting rollers. Use the "R" bar in the display to reverse the cutting unit, until all paper pieces come loose. Lubricating cutting units with particle cutting improves the cutting performance and avoids noises from jammed paper pieces. If the error cannot be rectified by this contact our customer service.
