Minimum Volume, maximum Time-Saving

How ANSMANN AG speeds up their disposal processes with the HSM V-Press 860 TimeSave.

ANSMANN AG is very enthusiastic about the question of how to deal with their waste materials. Two new HSM baling presses are now doing an excellent job. It is, above all, the new V-Press 860 TimeSave, which not only reduces the volumes of cardboard, but simultaneously also saves an enormous amount of time.

ANSMANN AG thinks ahead when planning a sustainable future. With its team of about 439 employees, of whom 269 work at the Assamstadt site, the energy specialist is focussed on solutions for mobile energy. Their products cover both customer-specific solutions for the industrial sector as well as rechargeable batteries, standard batteries, chargers and torches for end customers.

Erwin Lauth Abfallbeauftragter Ansmann AG

“Over the last two years, we were able to refine the structure of our waste processes significantly. Putting the new HSM baling presses into operation is our latest success and thanks to the V-Press 860 TimeSave, we are now also saving a great deal of time in our internal processes.”

The Advantage of fully automatic Cart Emptying

Now two new HSM baling presses are getting the job done at ANSMANN AG: whilst the small, mobile 8 TE baling press is pressing the plastic waste, the HSM V-Press 860 TimeSave vertical press is reducing the volume of the paper and cardboard waste by up to 95 percent.

The latter press gives ANSMANN AG significant added value with its fast and fully automatic cart emptying which saves valuable time and requires less operating personnel. Thanks to the hydraulic lifting/ tilting device, the HSM V-Press 860 TimeSave is filled within a few seconds when a collecting cart is used. Moreover, the baling press also saves a great deal of space thanks to its compact size.

TimeSave saves Time and Costs

With a pressing power of 594 kN and the low-noise and energy-saving rapid stroke technology, ANSMANN AG has the ben- efit of a particularly economical and en- vironmentally friendly solution with the V-Press 860 TimeSave. The rapid stroke technology significantly reduces the power consumption and the drive power whilst simultaneously increasing the throughput.

And whilst the 8 TE horizontal baling press has been pressing more than 35 bales of transparent and coloured plas- tics including transport straps and blis- ter packaging for over five months, the V-Press 860 TimeSave has been just as busy: the output is about 2 to 3 bales per week, with the trend increasing. The anticipated annual volume is about 50 thousand tonnes. ANSMANN AG already considers the results to be extremely positive, although they have not yet even begun to market the recyclable materials.

Ansmann TimeSave

A big Plus with regards to Utilization

The investment is worth it. The small 8 TE baling press will already have been amortized in 0.6 years. The HSM V-Press 860 TimeSave will take longer due to the higher cost of the machine, but for ANSMANN AG the most important thing is the savings potential with this baler. The company processes run more efficiently due to the automatic filling and since the roller doors no longer have to be opened to take out the cardboard waste, there is also less energy lost. What is more, since the task was carried out outside up to now, there used to be an above average number of sick days during the colder months.

ANSMANN AG is very satisfied with the results achieved. If there are ever any mi- nor problems, these are dealt with very quickly. Communications between the energy specialist and HSM were also particularly good. All questions were an- swered quickly and professionally, so the decision in favour of both HSM baling presses was absolutely right. ANSMANN has made real gains in performance, prof- itability and cost effectiveness regarding the future processing of their waste materials.
